Basically what we are requesting is the approval to replace the old 4' x <br />16' sign with a new 4' x 12' sign. Other than turning the new sign parallel to MGCA's southern <br />roadway and County Road B, the new sign is in the exact location as was the old sign. <br /> <br />We understand that we are permitted to install the new sign on MGCA's property up to 15' from <br />the southern property line without requesting a variance. If we did so, see Exhibit C, we would <br />be 50' south of our southern roadway. The sign would also be approximately 22' behind the crest <br />of the hill. As you enter the MGCA complex from County Road B you would only see the top <br />half of the sign at best. Any shrubbery on the hilltop would totally obscure the sign. <br /> <br />I trust the enclosed information and supporting documents are sufficient for the City Council to <br />base a decision upon. Please feel free to call me at any time with questions that you may have.
