Reports And Recommendations <br /> <br />F-1 <br /> <br />Without objection, Kysylyczyn moved to L-1, Items Tabled <br /> <br />F-2 <br /> <br />Mike Tienes, Treasurer of the Capital Region Watershed District, <br />discussed the activities of The District and the proposed budget <br />for Fiscal Year 2002-03. Goedeke commented on the desirability <br />of having Mr. Tienes make a longer presentation about the <br />activities of the Watershed District for the general public. <br />Kysylyczyn asked about how Water District board members are <br />elected, and about the date, time and place for the Water District <br />budget hearings (Thursday, August 16, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. at the <br />District office, 2015 Rice Street). <br /> <br />G. No public questions or comments. <br /> <br />H-2 <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, to approve the On-Sale Wine <br />License for Establishments with 75 seats or less and the 3.2 <br />Beer License for St. Paul Bagelry for the year ending December <br />31,2001. Roll Call, Ayes: Klausing, Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka <br />and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br /> <br />Applicant present. No public questions or comments. <br /> <br />Goedeke inquired about signage. Applicant indicated they would <br />comply with landlord and City regulations. Goedeke also asked <br />about the State of Minnesota background check. Applicant stated <br />that he has complied with all Minnesota requirements. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, by motion, to approve the <br />request by Cash Station to operate a currency exchange <br />business under the name MoneyExchange at 1745 Lexington <br />Avenue. Roll Call, Ayes: Klausing, Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka <br />and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br /> <br />I. Land Use <br /> <br />1-1 <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn reviewed the history of this case. City <br />Manager reviewed the three options outlined in the Staff Report. <br />City Attorney explained the details of the third option under <br />Minnesota law. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued among the councilmembers about the three <br />options. Goedeke expressed concern about the timeliness of an <br />environmental study and the availability of good data.
