PLANNING FILE 09-025
25
Request by Boaters Outlet for renewed approval of outdoor storage of boats as an
26
interim use at 1705 County Road C West
27
Vice Chair Boguszewski opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 09-025 at 6:20 p.m.
28
City Planner Thomas Paschke summarized the request and staff’s analysis as detailed in
29
the staff report dated December 3, 2014. Attachment D included written public comment
30
received to-date and as noted.
31
Member Stellmach arrived at this time, approximately 6:24 pm
32
Discussion included screening on the site and where it was located in relationship to the
33
other tenants in this multi-tenant facility, with screening only intended for the outdoor boat
34
storage, as the other uses are not part of the Interim Use.
35
Mr. Paschke opined that, if this area developed, he anticipated it would develop as one
36
large parcel.
37
Member Cunningham expressed concern with areas called “display areas,” that from her
38
observation did not seem very well fenced in and visible in the front of the lot when
39
driving by. Since this would not be considered for zoning as an automobile dealership,
40
Member Cunningham questioned why this lot was allowed to have a sales display area
41
for boats.
42
