Department Approval: TP jDPW Item Description: City Manager Approval Agenda Section: CONSENT Request by Daniel Sutliff for a 522 square foot VARIANCE (5%) to Section 1004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code allowing the construction of a living area addition to the existing home at 992 Shryer Avenue (PF3487). 1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: 1.1 Daniel Sutliff, 992 Shryer Avenue, seeks approval of a variance to Section 1004.0 1A6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction ofa 480 square foot addition to the existing home, which improvement will increase the impervious coverage on the parcel (10,216 sq. ft.) from the allowable amount of3,065 square feet (30%) to 3,587 square feet (35.1 %). City Council Action: Approval w/conditions - June 16, 2003 2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS: 2.1 The Community Development Staff recommends approval of a 522 square foot (5%) VARIANCE to Section 1004.0lA6 of the Roseville City Code for Daniel Sutliff to allow the construction of a 480 square foot living area addition on to the home at 992 Shryer Avenue, subject to conditions. 2.2 On June 4, 2003, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the Sutliff request and concluded that the request met the criteria necessary for recommending the granting of a variance and voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the request. 3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: 3.1 Adopt a resolution approving the request w/conditions (see Section 8 for more detail).
