The meeting that is scheduled for April 7th is for the planning commission, not the city council. This variance will not come before the city council until after the hearing at the planning commission. I am sending a copy of this email to Dennis Welsch (the community development director) with the request that he make sure that it gets in the packet of information that the planning commission members will receive. Our house is 2466 North Sheldon St. which is next to the above address on the north side where the addition would be built. Weare absolutely opposed to the variance request for the following reasons: 1. Our concern that the addition will have a negative effect on our property value. 2. The distance from the addition to our house. 3. The larger garage will be out of character with the houses on the street since the lots were not plotted for a garage this large. 4. An increase in noise level since their cars and trucks will be closer to our house. We hope that you will take into consideration our concerns and deny the variance request. The new garage will simply be too large and unattractive for this lot. 04/0112004
