The gravel base will be hauled and placed on the roadbed prior to paving. <br /> <br />. Portable concrete batching equipment will be set up on the staging site. Aggregates will be <br />delivered to the staging site and concrete will be mixed and hauled to paving equipment on the <br />project site. It is anticipated that mixing equipment will be set up on the site on three or four <br />separate occasions for approximately two to three weeks duration each time. Even then there <br />may be days of non-operation because of concrete pavement curing requirements. The mixing <br />operation would be an intern1ittent use. <br /> <br />. Equipment and trucks used for construction on the project will also be parked on the site. <br /> <br />. The project involves multiple stages and requires maintaining access to businesses and side <br />streets. <br /> <br />The Site <br /> <br />The Meritex Property is an approximate 5 acre parcel. The site has been used for snow storage <br />during 'Hinter months. There is an existing salt storage bunker on the parcel, which would remain in <br />place. The property, triangular in shape, is abutted by railroad tracks on the east and west and <br />Terminal Road on the north. The property is zoned 1-2, Industrial. <br /> <br />Meritex owns several abutting parcels. The property is surrounded by commercial and industrial <br />uses, much of it trucking or truck storage related. There is no residential use in the immediate area, <br /> <br />The site provides access to the project, T.R. 280 and 35W via Tern1inal Road, St. Croix Street, <br />Walnut Street, Long Lake Road and Cleveland Avenue. <br /> <br />Operation Details <br /> <br />. Erosion control <br />o The property is currently surfaced in some areas with gravel. The balance of the area is <br />sparsely covered with grassy vegetation. Upon termination of the interim use, the area <br />will be reseeded and restored to its existing condition. <br /> <br />. Dust Control <br />o Water and dust palliatives will be used to control dust from trucks and processing <br />equipment. Our dust control policy is attached. <br /> <br />
