<br /> <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br />TP jDPW <br /> <br />City Manager Approval <br /> <br />Agenda <br /> <br />Item Description: Request by Shafer Contacting Co., Ine. for an INTERIM USE PERMIT <br />to allow for the temporary creation of a concrete recycling area on a <br />portion of the Meritex parcel, 2880 Walnut Street (PF3616). <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />1.1 Shafer Contracting seeks approval of an INTERIM USE PERMIT in accordance with <br />Section 1012.09 of the Roseville City Code to allow establishment of a temporary <br />concrete recycling (crushing, storage, batch mixing, and delivery) area on a triangular <br />piece of vacant property located east of the Meritex building (2880 Walnut Street) and <br />directly adjacent to Terminal Drive (north) and the Minnesota Commercial rail line (east). <br />The temporary use would begin in April 2005 and extend to August 2006 (or earlier) for <br />completion of concrete work associated with the County Road Reconstruction project. <br /> <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY: <br /> <br />· Revised Application Received: 01/06/05. <br />· Determined Complete: 01/06/05. <br />· 60 Day Review Deadline: 03/7/05 <br />· Project Report Recommendation: Approval 02/02/05. <br />· Planning Commission Action: Approval (7-0) w Conditions 02/02/05. <br />· Anticipated City Council Action: 2/28/05. <br /> <br />2.0 SUMMARY of RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />2.1 At their meeting of February 2,2005, the Roseville Planning Commission recommended <br />(6-0) approval of an INTERIM USE PERMIT for Shafer Contracting, subject to <br />conditions. The Community Development Department concurs with this <br />recommendation and conditions. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> <br />3.1 ADOPT a RESOLUTION APPROVING an INTERIM USE PERMIT (see Section 7 <br />for detailed action). <br /> <br />PF3616_RCA_022805.doc\ Page 1 01'7 <br />
