City Manager Trudgeon 91 <br />responded he would do that. 92 <br /> 93 <br />Chair Grefenberg asked if someone asked for a commissioner’s email address or phone number 94 <br />was it was still okay to give them that information. City Manager Trudgeon responded that was 95 <br />okay affirmatively. 96 <br /> 97 <br />Commissioner Kathy Ramundt thanked the City Manager for the information and noted it made 98 <br />her feel a lot better about the procedure and process. 99 <br /> 100 <br />Chair Grefenberg stated he believed the commission had around 70 emails but none of them had 101 <br />opted in in total, which included the e-mail addresses he had handed in last summer. 102 <br /> 103 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated suggested they might want to send an email asking people to opt in to 104 <br />get future emails. He noted they might want to discuss this at a future meeting. 105 <br /> 106 <br />b. Resumption of Roseville University program 107 <br /> 108 <br />City Manager Trudgeon stated they were looking for some input from the Committee 109 <br />Commission regarding the Roseville University Program. He stated said this program, was 110 <br />started in 2008 and they did it continuing for 5 or 6 straight years, but they did not do it was not 111 <br />done last year. He stated described the program this was in the past as a series of seven meetings 112 <br />held throughout the year where the City came together and did held 2-hour meetings to discuss 113 <br />the roles of the each city departments. He stated there was a lot of information to cram into these 114 <br />meetings and they each had received good feedback. 115 <br /> 116 <br />He Trudgeon stated indicated, however, they were concerned that they were losing people along 117 <br />the way and now they wanted to look at things differently. He stated with this asked the 118 <br />Commission they were hoping to get for some feedback and programming ideas for the program 119 <br />this year. He stated they were thinking about instead of making it focused on each particular 120 <br />department to instead make it very specific to topics within the department(s). He stated some of 121 <br />the ideas were a discussion the sewer and water utilities, the budget, the fire station, the park 122 <br />system, etc. 123 <br /> 124 <br />Current thinking, City Manager Trudgeon continued, He was that participants not need stated 125 <br />people would not to sign up and go to for all of them sessions, but they could pick and choose 126 <br />what session they wanted to attend. He stated Trudgeon added they would try and rotate the 127 <br />topics each year; He stated by doing this they could get deeper into some of the subjects. He 128 <br />Trudgeon indicated that he hoped to start this program this coming spring. He concluded by 129 <br />asked asking the Commission what they thought about this new approach, and if it had some 130 <br />merit as well as what ideas and topics they had that they thought was were worthwhile for topics. 131 <br /> 132 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated this was a good idea and responded that breaking it up was an excellent 133 <br />idea. He stated suggested they City staff might want to consider a Roseville 101 class that talked 134 <br />about on the structure of the City government, as people might not understand the various 135
