Since there are many who consider it
separately from the athletic fields, I want to initiate a conversation to explore the possibility of reclassifying the park. To
this end, I have submitted a partial petition to articulate this request. While the copies provided contain fewer names,
there were 20 signatures obtained prior to submitting it to the council last evening.

I spoke with Lonnie briefly about this last evening and have since heard from the mayor that he is open to looking into
this. I didn't realize that your meeting was tonight so I apologize for the short notice, but I would like you to consider
allowing a public hearing on the issue at your next month's meeting. It is unlikely that I will be able to attend tonight but
will watch the meeting later.

I would appreciate hearing back from you with any questions or feedback you might have as well as guidance as to next
steps to move forward with this process. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Respectfully submitted,

Lisa McCormick
