Get an overview of Roseville's budget including the <br />budget process and how spending priorities are set, review the 2015 Council -Adopted <br />Budget, and learn how the budget impacts your property tax and water & sewer bill. <br />Session Two I Thursday, May 28 1 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. I City Council <br />Chambers at City Hall <br />Property Tax 101: Understanding your City Property Tax Bill <br />Get the lowdown on your taxes. Join us for an overview of your property taxes: how <br />property value is calculated, why your taxes increase or decrease, and how your city taxes <br />are determined. Individually it costs a victim about $1,500 and 175 hours to clean up their credit report. We'll <br />share lots of information on what you can do to lower your chances of becoming a victim of identity theft. <br />Substance Abuse (second hour) <br />Misuse and abuse of prescription drugs and other substances can have a devastating effect on the person using the drugs, as well as on the family and <br />society. Learn how a person illegally gets prescription medications, signs to look for abuse and what you can do to help. <br />Session Two jThursdayJune4 I 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. I Willow Room at City Hall <br />K9 Teams On the Job <br />What makes our K9s so special? Meet two of our topnotch handlers and their K9 partners. They'll demonstrate the skills needed to get the job done and <br />the bonds that K9 teams share. Participants will learn about the important skills the K9s bring to the Roseville Police Department. <br />Session Three I Sunday, June 7 1 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. I Willow Room at City Hall <br />Officer Use of Force <br />What goes into the decision-making process with the Use of Force? Use of Force Instructors will explain the training and thoughts behind each of their <br />decisions. Participants will get hands-on experience Use of Force decision-making using an interactive video system that has been provided by the <br />Columbia Heights Police Department. <br />Session Four I Tuesday, July 14 1 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. I Fire Station <br />Traffic Safety and Simulated Traffic Stops <br />What happens when you run a red light or push the speed limit? Get the facts on traffic stops.
