Consider Lake Owasso Safe Boating Association's Request for Permit Re- <br /> newal of the Water-Ski Slalom Course on Lake Owasso <br /> Mayor Roe opened the public hearing for the purpose of receiving public com- <br /> ment on the above-referenced request at approximately 6:35 p.m. <br /> Public Comment <br /> City Manager Trudgeon and Mayor Roe referenced and recognized written e- <br /> mails received to-date from supporters of this request: Michael and Cynthia Walz; <br /> 389 S Owasso Blvd W; Steve Youngquist, 391 S Owasso Blvd. W; Maren <br /> Youngquist, (same as above); and Paul Tragiai, 206 E Owasso Lane. <br /> Bruce Vester,3701 Sandyhook Drive <br /> As a 34-year user of the course and a long-time volunteer for the Courage Cen- <br /> ter's participation with the Association, Mr. Vester spoke in support of continuing <br /> this program. <br /> City of Roseville Police Lt. Lorne Rosand <br /> Lt. Rosand provided staff's recommendation for ratifying the permit from the <br /> Ramsey County Sheriff's Department as detailed in the RCA for the 2015 season, <br /> noting that the ski jump was no longer located on Lake Owasso. <br /> Mayor Roe closed the public hearing at approximately 6:38 p.m. <br /> 13. Approve/Deny Lake Owasso Safe Boating Association's Request for Permit <br /> Renewal of the Water-Ski Slalom Course on Lake Owasso <br /> Laliberte moved, Etten seconded, approval of the request by the Lake Owasso <br /> Safe Boating Association for a permit from the Ramsey County Sheriff for a wa- <br /> ter ski course and-jump on Lake Owasso for the 2015 season. <br />
