<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of August, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Schroeder, Kough, Maschka, and <br />Kysylyczyn; <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Kough introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10127 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 575 SQ. FT. VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A6 OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1047 BURKE STREET (PF3508). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James & Marian Korfhave requested a variance to Section l004.01A6 <br />(Maximum Total Surface Area) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a front <br />and side porch on to their home; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Korf parcel is located at 1047 Burke Street and legally described as: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 16, Krause's Plat <br />PIN: 14-29-23-22-0021 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section l004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code limits a single family <br />residential parcel to maximum total surface area coverage (lot coverage) of 30% or in the case of <br />the Korf parcel an allowance of 3,002 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Korf parcel has a pre-existing non conforming impervious coverage of <br />3,581 square feet which does not afford additional impervious area on the parcel without a <br />variance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Korf proposal seeks to eliminate the existing sidewalk and replace the <br />area and a portion of the driveway and side entry stoop with a covered porch, which addition will <br />create an impervious coverage of 3,577 square feet or 35. %; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Korf variance request (Section l004.01A6) on August 6, 2003, and recommended (5-0) approval <br />of the request based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project <br />report dated August 6, 2003. <br /> <br />1 <br />
