<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of August, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Schroeder, Kough, Maschka, and <br />Kysylyczyn; <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Kough introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10133 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1009.04A2 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2555 SNELLING A VENUE (PF3502). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dan Stock (Press Gym) and Sunrise Assisted Living have requested a <br />variance to Section l009.04A2 (Residence District Signs) ofthe Roseville City Code to allow the <br />installation of a second monument sign on the premises; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Sunrise Assisted Living is located at 2555 Snelling Avenue and legally <br />described as: <br /> <br />The East 395 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 9, <br />Township 29, Range 23, Ramsey County, Minnesota, except the North 767 feet thereof, except <br />the South 335 feet thereof, and except the East 100 feet thereof for Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section l009.04A2 of the Roseville City Code allows only 1 monume4nt or <br />pylon sign on a multiple family residence property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Dan Stock and Sunrise Assisted Living desire to erect a second ground <br />sign on the subjects parcel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Stock variance request (Section l009.04A2) on August 6,2003, and recommended (5-0) <br />approval of the request based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the <br />project report dated August 6,2003. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Sunrise <br />Assisted Living and Dan Stock a VARIANCE to Section lOO9.04A2 (Residence District <br />Signage) of the Roseville City Code allowing the installation of a second ground sign 1 foot from <br />the east property line at 2555 Snelling Avenue, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1 <br />
