Roll Call <br />10 <br />11 <br /> Present: <br />Chair Dean Maschka; and Commissioners William Masche, Susan Elkins, Jason <br />12 <br />Etten, and Dan Wall <br />13 <br />14 <br />Excused: <br /> Commissioners Vicki Lee and Bill Majerus <br />15 <br />16 <br /> Also Present: <br /> HRA Executive Director Jeanne Kelsey; Consultant Barbara Raye; Community <br />17 <br />Development Director Paul Bilotta <br />18 <br />19 <br />3.Approval of Minutes <br />20 <br />21 <br />Motion: Member Etten moved, seconded by Member Elkins to approve the Regular HRA <br />22 <br />Meeting Minutes of June 16, 2015 as presented; and to approve the Special HRA Meeting <br />23 <br />Minutes of June 30, 2015 as amended. <br />24 <br />25 <br />Corrections (June 30, 2015 Special Meeting) <br />26 <br />Page 6, Lines 30 and 38 <br />27 <br />Change references from “City” Attorney to “HRA” Attorney <br />28 <br />Page 12, Line 10 (Wall) <br />29 <br />Typographical Correction: Member “Wall” <br />30 <br />31 <br />Ayes: 4 <br />32 <br />Nays: 0 <br />33 <br />Abstentions: <br />1 (Masche) <br />34 <br />Motion carried. <br />35 <br />36 <br />4.Announcements, Agenda Adjustments, Recognitions, Correspondence, and Comments <br />37 <br />Tonight’s agenda was approved by consensus. <br />38 <br />39 <br />Chair Maschka and Member Etten recognized the reappointment by Mayor Roe and ratified by the City <br />40 <br />Council at their meeting last night, of Member Elkins to serve another term on the HRA Board. <br />41 <br />42 <br />5.Community/Citizen Comments <br />43 <br />44 <br />a.Roseville Visitor’s Association (RV) Executive Director Julie Wearn <br />45 <br />Ms. Wearn introduced herself for those HRA Commissioners she had not yet met; and shared <br />46 <br />exciting news from the RVA about their recent approval for destination marketing <br />47 <br />accreditation within the hospitality industry. Ms. Wearn reviewed some statistics in the gross <br />48 <br />sales generated overall in Roseville’s hospitality industry, also supporting employment and <br />49 <br />community amenities and businesses. <br />50 <br />51 <br />Ms. Wearn updated the HRA on the RVA’s work with City staff and departments in their <br />52 <br />advocacy for more visitor information for parks, especially with five hotels located within <br />53 <br />walking distance of Langton Lake Park, and also fully supported by general managers at local <br />54 <br />hotels. Ms. Wearn advised that the RVA was working with FORParks to pursue a presentation <br />55 <br />this fall and promote pedestrian walkability between major shopping malls and community <br /> <br />
