REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: <br />ITEM NO.: 5 <br />Agenda Section: <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />Reports Recommendations <br />Resolution approving plans and specifications and ordering advertise- <br />Item Description: <br />ment for bids for 1999 Pavement Management Program (PMP) contracts <br />On Monday, February public improvement hearings were held for the <br />Background: <br />1999 Pavement Management Program. Following the hearings, the City Council approved the <br />construction of each of the proposed projects. The next step in the process is for the City <br />Council to approve plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement for bids. <br /> Street has been added as an alternate bid on this contract. The City vacated <br />Street last year. Grace Church and Roseville School District are working on an Agreement with <br />the City to reconstruct Street and a portion of the High School parking lot. The cost of <br />this portion of the contract will be funded entirely by the Church and School District_ Both <br />parties waive their right to a Public Hearing, and cost sharing is outlined in the Agreement. It is <br />anticipated that this Agreement will be finalized prior to the award of contract. <br />The work proposed for 1999 has been assembled into one construction contract: <br />Contract A <br /> Avenue, S.
