However, Ms. Kelsey <br />noted that Ramsey County encountered "���� ��lenges in even allotting funding for mobile home <br />communities. <br />Chair Maschka r���t� �"' ����a recent articl�;ain the St. Paul Pioneer Press providing extensive <br />information o�r�obile h'' ing issues, a� reduced trends for that type of housing, even though <br />it proved ef��tive hous����� ���`�eople. <br />Member Masche reported that with his real estate work, he was familiar with a national <br />organizarion specializing in.;converting mobile home communities into cooperative housing <br />�������;�s. Member l�asche further reported that his firm manages several that were <br />��°r�'c�n '". well, e�en though he didn't have personal experience with those efforts. <br />Member '� �"�� e not�`d this increased property values of those mobile homes significantly due <br />to infrastr "�`re improvements and accessibility, and allowed for longer-term planning for <br />those comr�nities. <br />�; all noted the importance of that type of housing for a segment of the community; <br />�sure of how many were owned, rented, or the specific issues (e.g. maintenance needs) <br />type of housing stock. Member Wall suggested it may be something the HRA can help <br />with in the short term. <br />At the suggestion of Ms. Kelsey, Chair Maschka directed that this type of housing stock be <br />incorporated with and addressed in workforce housing initiatives. <br />Member Wall suggested including it under Strategic Goal 4(page 4) with ongoing items that <br />required resources or staff time. <br />
