Mr. Culver suggested that be part of <br />496 <br />staff s communication item updates as applicable; and encouraged PWETC <br />497 <br />members to follow the Planning Commission and City Council agenda for <br />498 <br />that specific item, with staff bringing forty rd updates in future PWETC <br />499 <br />meeting packets as well. <br />500 <br />uulll <br />501 <br />• Future Tour Options <br />502 <br />Chair Stenl nd suggested future PWETC tours could include tho solar array <br />503 <br />at St. Christopher's, and the Eureka Recycling Pl\forrequest <br />504 <br />505 <br />Chair Stenlund noted the t eka Recycling Contg up soon, <br />506 <br />and the need for reviewing and refining criterfor <br />507 <br />proposals (RFP) for a best value recycling contraced, asking <br />508 <br />that staff allow sufficient time for a thoughtful process in developing that <br />509 <br />criteria based on today's recycling market. <br />510 <br />511 <br />Mr. Culver duly noted that request, advising that it may actually supersede <br />512 <br />some of the other items listed as the PWETC started assembling pieces for <br />513 <br />the next round of proposals for recommendation to the City Council, with <br />514 <br />the current contract set to expire the end of 2016. Mr. Culver noted that part <br />515 <br />of that updated criteria included whether or not organic recycling was <br />516 <br />possible under Ramsey County's mandate; and advised that the Eureka <br />517 <br />contract expiration coincided with that of the City of St. Paul as well, which <br />518 <br />may impact requests for proposals and any future contract negotiations and <br />519 <br />pricing. Mr. Culver noted that the City would be seeking assistance from <br />520 <br />Ramsey County for that process; but admitted it was a good idea to revisit <br />521 <br />the past proposal and identify the last two years of experience and items to <br />522 <br />add, change or remove for the next RFP.
