G
A.G.MUELLER 2201 ACORN ROAD ROSEVIaE,(MINNESOTA 55113 612-639-0052
Mr. Steve Sarkozy
City Manager
• City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
November 15. 1993
Dear Mr. Sarkozy:
It is our understanding that the City has plans to install
curbs, gutters, and storm drains in the area between Cleveland
Avenue and Highway 280, north of County Road B. This area includes
Acorn Road.
Please be advised that as a homeowner who would be required
to pay part of the cost of these "improvements" I object strongly
to the City installing these curbs and gutters on Acorn Road.
The plans of the City would have a negative impact on my property.
A large part of the value oir my property is the scenic and rural
atmosphere which exists surrounding the property. "Improvements"
such as those proposed by the City would greatly eliminate this
atmosphere. My property would decrease in value, not increase,
if the plans of the City were completed.
As the City is aware, the "improvements" must increase the value
of my proerty by at least the amount of the special assessments
levied for the "improvements". This clearly would not be the result
in th3.s instance. I believe, as do all the homeowners along Acorn
Road, that the City would be making a very large financial mistake
in completing these "improvements" along Acorn Road. Not only
would the City be spending large sums of -money for something the
taxpayers do not want, but the property value of each parcel
would decrease.
I would respectfully request that the City not include Acorn
Road for these "improvements". Thank you.
Sincerely
Arthur G Feller
Atli/jp
