Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />February 18, 2015 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />Commissioner Bachhuber thought a Commissioner should be involved with the Task Force. <br />Ms. Collins stated Commissioners are welcome to attend the meetings. These are considered <br />Staff ineetings and they are held the second Tuesday of the month. <br />Chair Groff stated he would attend the meeting for the Commission and report to the <br />Commission. <br />Commissioner Singleton stated if Chair Groff was unable to attend these meetings he would be <br />available. <br />New Business <br />a. Discuss Parade Involvement <br />Chair Groff provided a drawing as a potential idea for a"float" for the parade. The Commission <br />would need a flatbed and they could make signs. He suggested having some younger people and <br />kids involved. The budget for this would be about $150.00. He would talk to the KOM to see if <br />the dancers would be interested in returning this year. <br />Ms. Collins stated the application for the parade is available and the sooner it is returned the <br />earlier in the parade they would be. <br />b. Report on Recent Community Events/Invite to Upcoming Community Events <br />Chair Groff reviewed the events and deadlines for the Human Rights Commission. <br />Chair Groff announced the open positions on the City's Commissions. <br />Ms. Collins stated there are three applicants for the open position with the HRC. There are no <br />nominations for the HRC Award. Minnesota Acts Now presents Healing event will be held <br />March 15 at the Activity Center in Brooklyn Park at 4:00. The Roseville Police Chief will be on <br />the panel. <br />Chair Groff suggested Commissioners attend if they are able to and provide an update to the <br />Commission. <br />Chair's Report <br />Chair Groff did not have any additional updates. <br />
