Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />May 20, 2015 <br />Page 4 of 10 <br />The Commission would be able to put the float together in the City Hall parking lot the day of <br />the parade. He stated he would get the details together for assembling the float and email it to <br />the Commissioners. <br />Ms. Collins stated there are pencils available from previous years for the parade but they would <br />need to get candy. <br />Chair Groff stated they would need to have approximately 12 people to turn the letters for the <br />parade and 5 people to help with the assembly of the float. <br />Ms. Collins stated a couple of the Essay Contest winners would be participating in the parade. <br />Commissioner Bachhuber stated she would not be able to assist with assembling the float but she <br />would be there for the parade. <br />Commissioner Christiansen stated she would be able to help assemble the float and participate in <br />the parade. <br />Ms. Collins stated she would be available to help assemble the float and she would talk with the <br />Volunteer Coordinator about getting additional volunteer help. <br />After discussion it was determine that those Commissioners that would be able to assist with <br />assembling the float should meet in the City Hall parking lot at 10:00 a.m. on June 29. <br />Commissioner Singleton stated he could help with the assembly of the float but he would not be <br />available to participate in the parade. <br />Commissioner Singleton stated he had been able to approval on the truck and it would be <br />donated Thanks to Midway Ford of Roseville. <br />Ms. Collins stated she would provide the information on where the Commission is in the parade <br />lineup and where they would be meeting as soon as it was available. <br />Chair Groff asked Commissioner Slade to talk to her husband about driving the truck for the <br />float so that he could participate with the Commission either turning letters or handing out candy. <br />d. Public Screening of Selma-Shoreview Planning Discussion <br />Ms. Collins stated the public screening for the documentary "Selma: The Bridget to the Ballot" <br />has been set for Monday, August 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Shoreview is requesting that a <br />members of the Roseville HRC attend their planning meeting on Wednesday, May 27, at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br />
