New Business a. Report on Recent Community Events/Invite to Upcoming Events Chair Groff stated he had attended the Mental Health Training for the Police Department and he felt this had been informative. He also attended the Northeast Youth and Family Services annual event. This is a non-profit that works with mental health in youths. Commissioner Christiansen stated she had attended the Roseville Area High School Grown in America Passport and Program on April 29 and there was food from different ethnic groups. She also attended the St. Paul Foundation "Facing Race Ambassador Award" on Apri128. Commissioner Bachhuber stated she had attended the event for Roseville ACT on dementia and Alzheimer's. She stated the Roseville Block Nurse Program Reinvention Task Force has a survey they are encouraging seniors and other residents of Roseville to take part in. This survey is on the City's website. Commissioner Thao stated there would be a community celebration for Dr. Thein, the Roseville Area School superintendent, who is retiring. Ms. Collins stated the first finance session for Roseville U would be held on Thursday, May 21. The first Police session and second finance session would be May 28. City Staff and the City Council have been working on Priority Planning and the draft plan is available on the City website. The City Council will be taking public input on this plan at their June 8 meeting. b. St. Paul Foundation Grant Commissioner Christiansen stated the St. Paul Foundation has announced a grant offer up to $75,000. The deadline is June 30 and the winners will be notified in September. They are looking for projects or planned initiatives that promote racial equity. These are things that could tie in with the Human Rights Commission or this may offer a means for paying for expanding the essay contest. Chair Groff stated the mental health dialogues could be a possible iit into the criteria. Chair's Report Chair Groff did not have any additional updates.
