Summer Youth Book Read <br />Youth Commissioner Cederberg stated he had contacted the Kao Lalia Yang, the author of "The <br />Latehomecomer ". She would not be able to attend any of the discussions because she is <br />expecting at that time. He stated he would talk to her about possibly being able to do a Skype <br />session or video that could be shown during the discussions. He stated he would also prepare <br />flyers that can be distributed to the current l Ot" grade students. As far as any food, he does not <br />expect this to be a large enough group to do food and beverage for. <br />Chair Groff stated if Youth Commissioner Cederberg did spend any money then he should <br />submit those expenses. <br />Ms. Collins stated the City's Communication Department could put together a flyer for the event. <br />Commissioner Bachhuber stated if there was enough notice Ms. Collins could work on getting <br />items donated for the event. <br />Staff Renort <br />a. Finance Update and Discussion <br />Ms. Collins reviewed the budget including current expenditures and budgeted items. <br />Commissioner Christiansen clarified the $200 budgeted for the parade was for the trailer only <br />and did not include candy. She asked if this should be included. <br />Chair Groff stated he would know more about the actual costs for the trailer by next meeting and <br />the Commission could decide at that time what they would like to spend on other items. <br />b. Other Items <br />There being no additional items Chair Groff moved to the next agenda item. <br />Future Agenda Items <br />Chair Groff stated the next meeting would include discussions on Civility Training. <br />
