Mr. Culver advised that staff was initiating <br />507 preliminary work, and as a starting point would be meeting wit„ nsulting staff <br />508 from Ramsey County on how to incorporate upcoming count dates into <br />509 the new RFP (e.g. organics). Mr. Culver anticipated feedback from the <br />510 PWETC, as well as public input after that, to determine what was working with <br />511 the current provider and any changes that were needed to guide the next RFP. <br />512 10 Akh, <br />513 Walkability/Pedestrian and Bicycle Access <br />514 Member Seigler suggested a broader discussion on the community's <br />515 walkability and an overall plan or blueprint to encourage Roseville residents to <br />516 get more active. <br />517 <br />518CActing Chair Wozniak noted that many of those components were provided <br />519r Ramsey County's "Active Living" umbrella. <br />520 <br />521Culver Ited the existence of the Pathway Master Plan that previous <br />522 members of the PWETC had discussed and updated addressing some of those <br />523 issues, but mostly focusing on pathways and sidewalks; with some remaining <br />524 gaps still obvious the current system. While some areas were re-prioritized by <br />525 the PWETC in their review, Mr. Culver noted there was no dedicated funding, <br />526 with priority established as other project came forward and leveraging funds <br />527 from Ramse County or grant opportunities. <br />528 <br />529 Mr. Culver suggested the Pathway Master Plan be incorporated into the broader <br />530 Comprehensive Plan update that would start in 2017, allowing the PWETC to <br />531 tap into the public engagement process for discussions related to land use, <br />532 transportation networks, and other elements that the City Council was required <br />533 to update every ten years, and receiving considerable public input throughout <br />534 that process. <br />535 <br />Page 12 of 13 <br />
