SCHEDULE 1.2 <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CITY <br />The City shall provide the following: <br />L Continuous Quality Improvement: <br />1. Assure that all City personnel meet CME requirements, including, CPR, run <br />report sessions, infection control, advanced skills recertification, CME, annual <br />guideline evaluation, and driving. <br />2. Collect, collate and report required CQI data points (outlined by Regions Hospital <br />EMS Medical Direction) to the Medical Director on a monthly basis. <br />3. Implement the medical protocols and guidelines approved by the medical director. <br />4. Report all proposals for the purchase of patient care equipment to the Medical <br />Director for evaluation and approval. <br />5. Provide the Medical Director access to copies of ambulance run reports for <br />evaluation and review. <br />II. Continuing Medical Education: <br />L Maintain a current roster, training records, data collection forms, etc., on each <br />Public Safety employee providing education or patient care. <br />2. Assure that all personnel meet continuing medical education requirements as <br />established by applicable regulatory agencies. <br />3. Assist in maintaining Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board EMS <br />mandated continuing education records. <br />4. Annual refresher training in emergency driving is recommended. <br />5. Notify the Medical Director of situations involving potential need for Critical <br />Incident Stress Debriefing, CISD. <br />6. Document annual continuing education on blood borne and airborne pathogens <br />training for all City employees who may come into contact with patient care <br />areas. <br />7. Document annual Right-to-Know training. <br />8. Document quarterly continuing education on airway management. <br />9. Document quarterly continuing education on intravenous therapy. <br />1032762-6 <br />11 <br />
