<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />AN ORDINANCE NO. 1163 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1009, TITLE X OF THE CITY <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE BY PROVIDING ADDITIONAL DEFINITIONS <br />OF SIGNS, PROHIBITING CERTAIN TYPES OF SIGNS, AND ADDING A NEW <br />SECTION 1009.035. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br />The City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby <br />amended by amending Chapter 1009 by adding certain definitions to <br />Section 1009.02 as follows: <br /> <br />1009.02. <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS: <br /> <br />BANNERS: Attention-getting devices of various <br />shapes, sizes and colors that typically are made <br />of a paper, cloth or plastic like material. <br /> <br />BANNERETTE: A sheet of fabric or plastic that <br />resembles a flag, and has minimum dimensions of 2 <br />feet by 2 feet. Smaller sized bannerettes are <br />defined as pennants. <br /> <br />BALLOON: A spherical, flexible, non-porous bag <br />inflated with air or a gas lighter than air, such <br />as helium. Such balloons may be of various <br />shapes, sizes and characters. <br /> <br />FLAGS: A piece of cloth or bunting varYlng In <br />color and design, used as a symbol, standard, <br />emblem or insignia identifying a governmental <br />agency or any civic, charitable, religious, <br />institutional, patriotic, corporate, fraternal or <br />similar organization, flags of foreign nations <br />having diplomatic relations with the United States <br />and any other flag adopted or sanctioned by the <br />legislative body of a governmental jurisdiction. <br /> <br />PENNANTS: Small flags less than 4.0 square feet <br />of triangular or different shapes that are <br />typically plastic or cloth. <br />
