<br />Ordinance Number 1173 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTIONS 1007, A-H (GENERAL <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS) TO ADD SETBACK AND <br />SCREENING REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSENGER VEHICLE PARKING IN <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS AND BUILDING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide for more efficient land use in <br />industrial zoning districts by allowing for more flexibility in parking setbacks, provided <br />certain design criteria and screening devices are utilized. The ordinance will provide <br />alternative methods for screening passenger vehicle parking lots from the public right-of- <br />way. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />City Code Section 1007.01 A through H is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />1007.01 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: <br /> <br />The following minimum requirements shall apply to all buildings that may be <br />erected, converted or structurally altered in industrial districts and development of <br />industrial land: <br /> <br />A. Setback Requirements: Required yards shall be open spaces, which may be used <br />for landscaping, lawn, and driveways, but shall not be utilized for buildings, <br />parking or open storage areas for goods or vehicles except as hereinafter <br />specified. <br /> <br />1. Front Yard Setback: <br /> <br />a. The minimum building and structure front yard setback shall be forty <br />feet (40') in all industrial districts. Side yards facing streets on corner <br />lots shall be considered the same as front yards. Where a front yard <br />or side yard of a corner lot faces a residential district across a street, <br />the building and structure setback from the street shall be not less <br />than sixty feet (60'). <br /> <br />b. On-site parking lot setback and parking of vehicles shall be <br />permitted no closer than forty feet (40') to any front yard property line <br />or where the lot faces a residential district. <br /> <br />c. All yard space between the building setback and the street right-of- <br />way line not utilized for parking of vehicles shall be landscaped with <br />
