Parade Discussion <br />Commissioner Singleton stated he had a 2015 truck from Midway Ford lined up for the Parade. <br />He will send a copy of the Parade flyer to Midway Ford and let them know that Chair Groff <br />would be picking up the vehicle. <br />Chair Groff stated he would pick up the truck and trailer and meet volunteers in the City Hall <br />parking lot to assembly the float around 10:00 am. He passed out a signup sheet for <br />Commissioners to participate. <br />Commissioner Slade stated she had a driver for the event. <br />Ms. Collins stated she had contacted the Volunteer Coordinator and at this time all of the <br />volunteer efforts are focused on the Parade itself. <br />Chair Groff stated he had contacted KOM to see if anyone would be interested in participating <br />on the float but he had not heard back from them yet. The Commission will meet at the <br />Roseville High School at 5:00 for the Parade. <br />Ms. Collins stated she would provide the Parade lineup for the Commissioners. <br />Chair Groff asked for suggestions regarding music. <br />Commissioner Carey stated if there was a band close to them in the lineup then they would not <br />need music. <br />Ms. Collins stated the Essay Contest winner would not be able to attend but the new Youth <br />Commissioner would be participating in the Parade. <br />c. Public Screening of Selma-Bridge to the Ballot Discussion <br />Commissioner Slade stated she had attended the Shoreview Human Rights Commission meeting <br />and they had provided an outline of the event. The screening will be held Monday, August 3, <br />from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Roseville Public Library. There would be discussion after the <br />screening. She stated she would contact the League of Women Voters to see if they would <br />attend for voter registration during the event. The event is cosponsored by the Shoreview <br />Human Rights Commission and the Roseville Human Rights Commission. <br />Ms. Collins stated the information had been sent out in the City's news update and the City <br />would continue to promote the event. <br />d.
