Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />June 17, 2015 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />Chair Groff asked the Commission to consider approving the concept of the 3-page packet and <br />the question presented by the Committee. <br />Commissioner Christiansen stated the idea was for the League to use the template provided with <br />the 3-page packet and other cities could customize the City portion to meet their own needs. <br />Commissioner Christiansen made a motion, Seconded bv Commissioner Slade to approve <br />the 3-pa�e packet concept for the Roseville Essav contest and present the concept to the <br />Lea�ue of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions. The motion carried unanimouslv. <br />New Business <br />a. Report on Recent Community Events/Invite to Upcoming Events <br />Ms. Collins added the June 20 Summer Book Read discussion to the event calendar. This event <br />is open to youth aged 12-18. <br />Chair Groff stated the second Summer Book Read discussion would be on June 27. <br />Commissioner Slade stated she had attended the Police Mental Health training and this had been <br />well presented. <br />Chair Groff stated the HRC joint meeting with the City Council would be held on August 24. <br />Commissioner Christiansen asked when the next mental health forum would be scheduled. <br />Commissioner Slade stated she would have details available at the next Commission meeting in <br />August. <br />Chair Groff asked if there were any objections to cancelling the July Human Rights Commission <br />meeting. <br />Commissioner Christiansen moved, Seconded by Commissioner Slade to not hold a <br />Roseville Human Rights Commission meeting in Julv and resume with regular meeting in <br />August. The motion carried unanimously. <br />Chair's Report <br />Chair Groff stated he had been asked by the Metro State University to speak at one of their <br />classes about human rights on how to get involved in human rights. <br />Commissioner Christiansen asked what they would do to replace Ms. Bachhuber. <br />
