Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />August 19, 2015 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />Commissioner Christiansen asked when the Commission would be able to add Youth <br />Commissioners. <br />Ms. Collins stated the City Council might approve moving forward with Youth Commissioners <br />and advertising for the vacancies after the joint meeting in October. <br />Commissioner Carey stated after the last City Council meeting she thought there would be a <br />possibility that the Human Rights and Community Engagement Commissions would be <br />combined but this would not be decided until October. <br />Commissioner Christiansen thought the decision would be if the Human Rights Commisison <br />would continue or be dissolved. <br />Chair Groff stated these could be discussed with the City Council members. <br />Staff Report <br />a. Finance Update and Discussion <br />Ms. Collins reviewed the budget including current expenditures and budgeted items. <br />b. Other Items <br />There being no additional items Chair Groff moved to the next agenda item. <br />Future Agenda Items <br />Chair Groff stated the next meeting would include discussions on the mental health community <br />discussion co-sponsored with NAMI. <br />Commissioner Christiansen stated she would follow up with the League on the essay question to <br />be included in the packet and she is warking with Ms. Bachhuber on the rubric. <br />Chair Groff stated the details for the Civility Training would be finalized and the presentation for <br />the joint meeting would be on the agenda. <br />Commissioner Christiansen clarified there would not be a meeting in December. <br />Chair Groff stated this would be correct. <br />Adiournment <br />
