reached, the Contractor will request the Public Works Director. If the <br />Public Works Director cannot be reached, the Contractor shall <br />contact the City Manager. <br />5.10. Cleanup Responsibilities <br />Contractor shall adequately clean up any materials spilled or blown <br />during the course of collection and/or hauling operations. Any <br />unacceptable materials left behind should be secured within <br />resident's recycling container, if provided. Driver shall take all <br />precautions possible to prevent littering of unacceptable recyclables. <br />5.11. Missed & Partial Dump Collection Policv & Procedures <br />Contractor shall have a duty to pick up missed & partially dumped <br />collections. Contractor agrees to pick up all missed & partially <br />dumped collections on the same day that the Contractor receives <br />notice of a missed collection, provided notice is received by <br />Contractor before 11:00 a.m. on a business day. If notice of a missed <br />or partially dumped collection is received after 11:00 a.m. on a <br />business day, Contractor agrees to pick up that missed or partially <br />dumped collection before 6:00 p.m. on the business day immediately <br />following. <br />Contractor shall provide staffing of a local telephone -equipped office <br />with specific knowledge of the City's contract to receive missed & <br />partially dumped collection complaints between the hours of 7:00 <br />a.m.-5:00 p.m. on weekdays, except holidays, and on Saturdays <br />during weeks in which a holiday has delayed pickup in the Friday <br />zone until Saturday. The Contractor shall have an answering machine <br />or voice mail system activated to receive phone calls after hours. <br />Contractor shall keep a log of all calls, including the subject matter, <br />the date and time received, the Contractor's response, and the date <br />and time of response. This information shall be provided to the City <br />in the annual report. <br />5.12. Sever <br />Recycling collections may be postponed due to severe weather at the <br />sole discretion of the Public Works Director. "Severe Weather" shall <br />include, but shall not be limited to, those cases where the temperature <br />at 6:00 a.m. is —20 degrees F or colder. Upon postponement, <br />Collector shall immediately notify the City, put notice on the <br />Contractor's website, alert the news media and use other means to <br />contact residents.
