ARTICLE 24 - DEFECTTVE 0� NEGLE�TED WORK 24.1 All Work �ot conforming to tne requirements of thP Contract Documents sha11 be consider�d defective, and all �efective Work, whether in place or not, may be rejected. R,ejected Work shall be removed promptly from the site by the CONTRACTOR unless the defi- ciencies are correcteci promptly by hime The CONTRACTOR will also bear the expense of making goad a1�1 work of other cantractors destroyed or damaged by remoUal or replacement of his defective work. If the CONTRACTOR do�s not ��orrect such deficiencies within a reasonable time, fixed by written notice from the ENGINEER, the OWNER may correct the deficiency �ir remove the rejected worka All direct or.indirect costs of such c+�rrection or removal ��ill be char�ed against the CONTRACTOR� I•f, instead of req uiring c�rrection or removal of 3ny such defective Work, the OWNER and the ENGINEER prefer to accept it, they may do so in which case a Change Order shall be issued incorporat�ng ihe necessary revisior� in the Contract aocuments inclu�ing an appropriate reduction in the Contract Price. 24.2 If the CON1'RACTOR should neglect �:o prosecute the Wark in accordance with the Contrac� Documents, including any requirements of the p rogress schedule, the OWNER, after three days' written notice to the C�NTRACTOR may, without prejudice to any other remedy he may have, make good su�h deficiencies and the cost thereof shall be charg�d againsi: th� CONTRACTOR if the ENGINEER appraves such action, in which case a Change Order shall be issued incorporating the necessary revisions in tf�e Contract D�cuments including an appropriate reduction in the Contract Priceo ARiICLC 25 - GUARANTEES AND CORRECTIG�N OF I�IORK AFTER SUBSTANTIF�L COMPLETION The CONTRACTOR warrants and guarantees that all Work, materials and equipment will be of good quality and free from fau�ts or defects and in accordance with the Contract Documents. Upon receipt of written instructions fram fihe OWNER, he shall cor~rect a�� fualts and deficiencies in the Work and remedy all variatic�is frorn the Contract Documents which appear within one year after Substantial Completion and shall alsa comply with the terms of any special guarantees provided in the Contract Documents. The OWNER or ENGINEER will give prompt writ�ten notice of observed defects. The warranties and guarantees pro- vided in this Article shal� be in addition to and not a limitation of any other remedies provided by t��e Contract Documents or by law.
