OF PAYMENTS 27.1 The ENGINFER'S approval of any payment requested in an Application for Pa,ym�nt. shall c�nstitute a representation by him to the OWNER, based on the �NGI�EER'S on-site obse.rvations of the Work in progress as an experiences and qualified design professional and on h�s review o� the Apnlication fior Payment and the supporting data, th�t the Work has progretsed to the poin� ind�cated; that, to the be�t of his kn�wledge, information and belief, the quality of the Work is in accorda�cP with the Contract Docume�ts (subject to the resu�ts af any subsequent tests requ7red by the Contract Documents and any qua�ific�tions stated in his ��pproval); and that �h� CONTRAC- TOR i� entitled ��a payment of the amaunt apr��oved� Hawever, by appro�vi ng any such payn�ent the ENGINEER s��al l not thereby b� deemed to have represent��d that he made exh�us�ive or continuo�s nn-site �nspecti ons ta check th� qual i�y or th,e quar�t.i ty of the Work, or th�t he has rev�ewea the techniques and se�u�nces ofi con,struction, or that h� has made any� examinatir�� io asG�riain how or for what pur- pase th�� CONTRACTGR has us�� ne mon�es paid or i:o be paid to him o�n account or tFie Contract Pr�ice.
