John Tliordson lives at 832 Parker Avenue and
reviewed witli us the possibilities of extending a driveway alongside
his house 14111.C1 would be 2 feet from his contiguous property line rather
tlian the required 5 feet. He lias the support and approval of this
proposal from his neighbor, who wants to use this driveway as a method
to get back to the rear of }.is property occassionally.
8) 13ecket. Grege Becket, a retired engineer, representing the Roselawn
Cemetary Association was in to discuss their proposed planning an
additianal approximately 2G00 lots in addition to 48,630 existing lots
platted on this site. We discussed the possiUility of his reviewing the
question of right-of-way dedication for Victoria Avenue, which apears
not to have occurred in the past. Additional 10 feet from t}ie center
line would normally be required (33 feet cxtended to 40 feet).
He noted in a subsequent phone call that the owners indicated that tliey
aould rather not deal witli tliis at tlii.s time. Ue suggested tlat the
city may well want to consider tllis need inasmuch as Victoria Avenue
may need improvement within the next 20 years, and that may'be long
befoie tlie cemetary desires to plat additional lots. They have ueen
tliere since 1903, and the land is approximately 1/3 developed.
9) Go£f. Pat Goff came in with tlle revised PUD plan for his townhouse
development westerly of the mobile home court. He's removed one
unit as tive suggested reducing it to 23 thereby opeiiing up the site
at the entrance area. He notes that tiie units are proposed around
frm ,000 to $,000 base price, with approximately $12,000 additional
in typical ;dd ons. He also acijusted the road way on tlie north side,
improving the circulation, and now proposes the 30 foot wide streets
for additional parking rather t}ian having parking bays sprinkling
about the site. tiVe suggested the 30 ioot vide streets (the same as a
publlc street) as a better and more efficient way of handling extra
par.king needs. He says he has distriUuted copies of lis plans through
the neighborhoad, and indicates a generally good reaction.
10) Kise - 484-2090.
corner of Brenner
developable into
placement of lot
plat.
Don Kise has a paxcel of land at the northwest
and Victoxia.
