We noted we cannot make a commitment to buy Iand from anyone, particularly when we don't know who the owner might ultimately be. We emphasized, however, ' the City's cammitment to purchase the land, and referred to th� drawings in the grant application, indicating ways in whicli the land would be used. The Board members seemed to feel the operatian of the park would be a detriment to their operation, and we re not keen about having a roadway ` .along the south side of their property to serve as access to our park. We discussed the merits of this proposal, noting expansion of the land ta the west would require such access. We also nated the ].and must be rezoned for their operation to be approved, and that the land had been appraised by joint appraisal between the Scliool Board and fihe Ci.ty, and that the City does desire to buy t}ie lanci at the appropriate time. , ��
