We discussed <br />reasons why that portion o� the land is important to the park, and suggested <br />they mak� a prop�sal to the City regarding haw the larid could be replaced; <br />and if not in the mannsar as naw proposed by the City, some other manner t�ey <br />recommend. We indicated the City cannot "make deals" in terms of zoning for <br />land or� anything like that, but that they have a right to propose a s�lution <br />to which the Ci�ry could the�1 react. NJe suggeste l that at least an attemp� <br />should be made tQ work it ou:t, rather than necessarily going t� condemnation <br />and possible �ourt action. <br />12) Cable T.V. - 481-0677. Jim naniels and Mitch Mathews from the Cable T.V. <br />franchise company serving the Rose��ille and its allied communities, _were in <br />to discuss the possible use of the Owasso School` site �or Cable T.V. offic�es <br />and studios. The school building has �1,000_sq.� ft.,; of which the �able T.V. <br />people would initially need only 15,000, with 26 employees. The remainder of` <br />the bui�ding would be intended to be used for storage of the cable.. The studios <br />are required to be located in Roseville; which could be located in Fa.i.rview <br />5chool, would be located in this building if the� were to purchase it from the <br />School Board. We reviewed procedures and rec{uirements relating to the use. <br />They w�re going to consa.der the implications and further ascertain potential <br />availability of tha site. They will,; �et Y�ack ,to us befo-re proceeding with <br />any definitive action. <br />13) Rue - Steve Roberts was in with preliminary pl�ans for the c�evelopment of the <br />Rue site previously approved by �che Planning Commission and :ouncil. We got <br />a copy of the iandscape plan, which we are reviewing far consideratian, prior <br />to issuance of a building permit. <br />14) Wagner - 488-7231. Dennis Wagner has a single-family house, jus� east of the <br />building occupied by Roseville Plumbin�, owned by Dennis Wagner, j�.st west <br />of Burger iCing at the n.orthcaest corner of Lexington and Countv Road B. The <br />lot has 70' of frontage, plus an easement on the east side f�r a driveway <br />access to the Rose Plumbing building, which Wagner sold several years ago to <br />another owner. The plumbing shop occupies 720 sq. ft. , with the remainder <br />being utilized as an auction house. Wagner proposes to rezone tlle single--family <br />lot that he owns, e�and the garage for his plumbing shop, and remove t}le existing <br />house to another site in RosEvi.11ee We discussed the policies, regulations, and <br />procedures for rezoning, this property is not shown as poten�ial commercial in the <br />Comp:rehensive Plan; thus requiring petitions of approval from 50% .of contiguous <br />land owners. Mr. Wagr�er may or may not pursue this rezoning, but will consider <br />the �.nforma�ion we �ftcred, and other �ptions ��e is considering. <br />15) Sla�aik - P�arie Slawik, Jerry Slawik, and Nancy Gordon, Manager of the Har P�Iar <br />Center, werc: �n to discuss possible revised access and �arking plans to the <br />Har A�ar Center as prepared by BRt'J Engineering and TraFfic Consultants. The <br />general conc.ept is to move the access to the center further south to a point <br />almost opposite Skillman on t}ie west side. Mr. Honchell explainecl �the probabl� <br />concerns with respect to the property owners to the west, expressed in meetings <br />with them regarding improvemerits> in that area.
