C
•
September 9, 1983
-2-
5) Derrenber eg r_ 647-9116. John Derrenberger owns a house at 1955 Nohe
Snellin g, which was built in 1938. His existing garage is 2' -
north property line, and he wants to put in a diveway in c:vncrete
(now gravel) to Snelling Avenue. He has a large tree, co:tigucus to
the driveway on the south, which would prevent him f,..Q.n moving the
driveway the required 5' from the north property l;r..e. David Drown
informed him of the State's program to build aervice road along the
west side of Snelling Avenue, fr which thy alrea.dy have adequaze
right-of-way. It appeared this case can be hndlad as a minor variance.
6) O'lson - 739-5427. Mr. Olson has an auto upholste ring business and is
looking for a site to ].ocate in the City of Roseville. We discussed the
various areas apropriateZy zoned for such use, and advised him hat tnis
operation cannot be conducted aG a home occupation on his residntial
property at 789 West Coin Ly Road B.
7) Martin - 483-312a. Dr. Tom Martin's wife, Kathy, was in to discuss a
15' x 10° additiar. on the southeasterly side of their house, frontirig
on ake Owasso. The purpose of this addition is for a bathroom, ,ahich
they had initially contemplated.putting on the front of their house
toward the lake. The addition proposed meets all requirements, an d will
appear to be no problem, though p rocessin g the development through the
shoreline zoning ord.izance review will be nEcessary.
;:
7) Shreder - 484-7561. Audrey and Ernest Shroeder live at 675 Heinel Drive
and propose to add a ga.rage to their 100' wide lot on Lake Owasso. We
discussed procedures and ordinance requirements und.er the shorPline zoning
regulations.
8) Nelson - 633-1266. The Nelsons propose to add a garage addition 9'b",on
the north side of their house which would bring the structus.e to within
3' of the prperty line. The requirement on this property is for 5' ,
and thus a variance of 2' would be required to a:11ow for this addition.
Z'he property to the north has the garage next to this common prcperty
line, and he has received permission from thisowner tor this variance.
This, then, can,be han dled as a minor variance proceaure.
9) Mhre - 533-1621. Gary Myhre has a parcel of lnd immediately west of
Irene Court, which is a cul-de-sac off of western, just north of County
Road B-2. He is inquiring as to the possibility of placing a house on
the rear of his lot. We suggested that by working with his contiguous
neighbor, it would be possible to construct a short cul-de-sac wYiich
would provide for the development of a total of 5 lots on the property.
He is going t consider this possible solution.
