Robert Todd (490-1054)
Mr. Todd is a builder who is involved in the construction of a
home on Owasso Boulevard South. TJhe plan is to remove the
existing home that is on the site and replace it with a larger
new home. The setback of the proposed structure from tYie
ordinary high water mark from Lake Owasso is well in excess of
the 75-foot setback. There is an existing garage structure on
the property that is to remain as an accessory structure. This
structure will, however, be a garage within the front yard area,
which is not consistent with local code. The driveway to the
house on this property and the driveway to th house immediately
to the east are shared at this point, therEfore, they do not meet
the 5-foot riveway setback. Because of topographical
constraints on the site, it was agreed that it would be very
costly t recrade th driveway to allow it to meet the 5-Fot
setback. Mr. Todd was given applications for minor variance and
fnr blanket variance, and he agreed to meet with the
neigr^ring property owner to get the shared driveway approved.
2. Mr. Dave Knowlan (835-1338)
Mr. Knowlan owns a piece of property in the southeast quadrant of
Lexington Avenue and County Road D, which is zoned B-3 General
Business. Mr. Knowlan has been in a few.times to talk about a
potential sa.le for a motor fuel/convenierc staion in this
location. This site is rather small, ad therefore, is
constrained. We reviewed a number of potential alternative
designs for the property. Following the discussion of the site
and the review and critique of the the site plan that he had
prepared, we dircted him to reiine the design further and return
at a subsequent office hours appointment.
3. Bob Bierscheid, Park and Recreation Director
The City's Park Commission has voted to sell the existing park
property in the area south of County Road B and west of Rice
Street. This is a small parcel that was acquired through tax
forfeiture, and it is a parcel that is immediately adjacent to
the east of the Zeece property, which is currently in the _
development review and approval process. It was agreed that this
matter should be taken to the City Council at an upcoming
workshop to determine if in fact the property is surplus.
