J�.m Ternes, 2361 Hicthwav 36 <br />Mr. Ternes and his brother Eric were in to discuss the <br />development approval issues related to expanding their current <br />business. Their business (Tern�es Register System) is located <br />on the east side of St. Croix, between Terminal Road and Trunk <br />Highway 36. They are proposing to purchase the parcel between <br />their existing building and terminal Road. <br />Both the land that they currently occupy and the site that they <br />would occupy are zoned I-1 and the use that they are proposing <br />is permitted in this district. They have had some soil tests <br />taken on tl�e parcel tha.t they progose to purchase and it �aauld <br />require significant soil correction to allow a buildinq to be <br />� placed there. Consequently, they are intending to ad�d on to <br />the north side of their current buildinc� and only utilize th8 <br />new site for parkiz�g. <br />Betw�en the existing and p�tential expansipn sites is a storm <br />water pumping station o�rned lay the City of Rosevill�. There is <br />an access aasernent along the north sida of the property. <br />Obviously thi� is an i��ue that would need to be r�solveci in <br />the �ite pl�nnin� and approval process. Karl Keel is goinq ta <br />discuss �h�a Froposa2 with the appropriat� s�aff and r�c��ort back <br />to tt�c: applicants. Tf no variances are required for s�etbacksr <br />tl�is matter could b� handled as a b�.ild�ng permit approv�l. We <br />also spent a good deal o� time discussing the impoxtarice �f <br />architectur�l design continuity and upqradinq of eacisting <br />exterior materials. <br />2.
