project, he feels that the marketability (livability) of the
units could be greatly enhanced.
The project is an approved PUD and the changes that he is
suggesting would require an amendment to the approved PUD. We
gave him a copy of the application and explained the process.
3. Wilmer Blietz
Mr. Blietz is an employee of MIDMAC SYSTEMS, INC. This is a
company that employs some 25 people and designs and
manufactures special machinery, robotics, and machine systems.
They are currently located at 871 Pierce Butler Route in St.
Paul.
Mr. Blietz was on a fact-finding mission since their current
leae is running out at the end of the year. They were
considering relocating into their own building and they are
considering Roseville.
From his dscription of the nature of their business, and in
particular the size of the machfnery that they were involved
with, it seeed that they werQ most appropriately located in
the I-2 District, e shcwed him a few potential I-2 sites and
also discused the Twin Lakes Area, if they wold b willing to
commit to a highr standard oP buildig and site developmnt
standards.
4. Qb irschied
Bob came in to disuss two matters: the parking lot at the
Roseville golg course on Hamlin, and the need to secr legl
cces to the existing park east of D1e Street ad souh of
County Road g.
The golf couxse parking lot is inadequte boh in terms af size
and the condition of the pavement. Additional r.o.w. is also
neoded for Hamline Avenue. The aptions for epansion of the
lot aro sentially closed off by the Zocatian o golf cours
imprQvents and the oposition of the homeowners association
in the condominiums to the south of the lot. It did appsar
that the most logical locatio for thQ expansion would be
towrd he unit, which also gain acess o thoir units via
driveway at tho north sido oE their units. It would appear
that this expansion could be screned effectively.
Given the constraints Facing the dQvlogment of this lot it di
not ppar feasiblQ to dQdiatQ r.o.w. for Hamline Avanue at
triis time. Rathr, we suggested that the record wu3d imply
reflect th Fact hat the City would mke thi land availabl
, v

_
