Kath, 484-7905
Harry Kath was in with Pat Henry, of Prestige Pools, to
review a proposed site plan for his residence at 3079 Sandy
Hook Drive on Lake Owasso. This house was built in 1965,
previous to the approval of the plat to the north done by
Dean Anklin. He proposes to add a swimming pool to the site.
We reviewed the requirements and procedure for processing
this proposal under the shoreline zoning ord:.nance.
We also discussed his properties approved by the Council for
an off-sale liquor store which was never constructed. He
notes that he bought that contract back because the proposed
developer (John Gr.ham) moved on to California and decided
not to proceed. Harry notes his intention is to hold the
property for awhile, awaitin other proposals.
4. Pope, 291-8894
Bob Pope was in to discuss and review preliminary plans f4r
the Price Savers Wholesale Club proposed for the St. Paul and
Suburban I3us Company site. We noted Leonard Vannesse's
proposal to sell the Twin City Freight Lines property west of
35W to Price Savers for a Roseville location. Zt appears
Price Savers is pursuing two sites at once.
Regarding location, Bob Pope noted that Daug Hanson, Vice
President of Rea1 Estate for Price Savers, old him that
Price Savers didn't want to be within five miles of Costco.
The question eing, do these two similar type retailer want
to be close by? With:.'tn the industry, that has not been the
pattern in a relatively short historical past. We suggested
they do nothing until a deciion is made on Costco, after
which Price Savers may elect to relocate to a more distant
location.

5. Charlie noted the drainage concerns and requirements.
Our contacts with TCF in the past indicated they intended to
stay, inasmuch as this is one of the newer and better
terminals. Apparentlr they now propose to move out as soon
as passible, which creates a probJ.em of immediate appropriate
use for the land, if possible.
