Schultz 633-9057
Mr. Bill Schultz, of 1247 Talisman Curve, wa in to descra.be
his efforts to convi.nce his adjacent neighbor to go along
wa.th a three foot side yard variance, to allaw him to bui].d a
two car garage, where his current ne and one-half car garage
exits today. Ndr . Schultz showe. us a drawing of his lot an!3
the existing arage and driveway, and it apgears that ther
is a major evergreen tree between the exising garage and his
house, wrhich proides a cnstraint to constructing the new
arage nearer to his house. He also describd some arcrlitec-
tural constraints with a landin and a few steps which will
pose a problem for locating the new structure nearer to the
houe.
P,ccording to Mr. Schultz, the neighbor is an elderly womn
wha has liveci i:'che house for a long time, and simgly does
not feel comfortable in signing off on the variance. We
explained to M. chultz that it would be inappropriate for
us to become involved with rendering any opinion about what
decisions the Planning Commission and City Counil might make
regarcing this variance. We explained the process for
rquesting a variance through the City, and Mr. Schultz left
intending to discuss it with his neighbor further, and if he
was not successful in rolving it wa.th her, coming back to
appear before the Council in Jun for referral to the hering
in July.
2. Feyen, 489-0445
Scott Feyen did not show up for his appoi;,'-ment.
3. Havlichek, 489-4306
Mrs. Georgiann Havliahek was in to inquire about the
possibility of a lot split for her pz•operty on Rice Street.
Although she has a l.ot which is greater in size than the
minimum required by the code, ther would not be street
access to the rear of her property. Therefore, we informed
her that it would not be possible to approve such a lot split
• at this time.
