We explained that
we were not currently aware of any such interest or specific
proposals.
4. Garley, 483-8098
Mr. Cleon Garley was scheduled for a 9:30 appointment, and
came at about 10:00 a.m. We saw him after Mrs. Havlichek.
Mr. Garley owns the apartments behind Burger King, Rocky
Rococo and other restaurants which front on the west side of
Snelling Avenue Mr. Garley has purchased another lot of
record in this area immediately adjacent to the parking area
behind Burger King. Mr. Garley was inquiring as to what he
would need to do to build a garage on that lot to serve his
apartment development.
I explained that first of all, the lot in question was zoned
B-1, and would need to be rezoned to a multiple residential
use to allow the construction of the accessory structure.
Secandly, that lot would need to be replatted to incorporate
it ino a larger lot to allow an. accssory structure to e
located on a 1ot with a principal structure. We also
explained that he City was very concerned about the poblem
of traffic congstion at the County Road B and Snellinq
Avenue intersectiorr. We indicated that although there were a
number of al.ternatis under consideration, that there was
the aossibility rf some roadway improvements in and arounci
the area of this lot which would need to b studied vexy
carefully prior to any action on his request for rezoning and
plat approval
5. Conhaim, 374-9454
Mr. Roger Conhaim was dcing xesearch xegarding the
availability o sites for an of£ice building for Winfield
Devlopment Company.
We provided him aith a qeneral update of activity and
interest which has ben expressed in the ara of the tax
increment financg district.
6. Ka-ing, 633-272
Ir. James Keating was in with Dick Benjamin, of Dorso Trailex
Company, to discuss open storage of automobile bumers which
occurs on the roperty just south of Country Road C-2, west
ot Cleveland Avnue. This property has been used for this
outdaor storage since 1977o without any special use permit.
They are very much aware of th development proposal which has
been made by Mr. Weir in the area west of Cleveland Avenue.
