Day-care centers. 8.360. Automobile Service Stations. Automobile service stations shall conform to the following standards: 1. Surface Covering. The entire site, other than that taken up by a structure or planting, shall be surfaced with asphalt or concrete. � 2. Drainage System. A drainage system subject to the approval of the Public Works Director shall be installed. 3. Parking and Service Areas and Curbs. No parking or service area shall be less than five ��hefeublic�sidewalkefromisuch and a box curb shall separate p parking and/or service areas except at approved entrances and exits. 4. Lighting. All lighting shall be shielded, deflected or diffused so as to not cause any beamed, directed or intense lighting to fall upon adjacent land being utilized for residential purposes, or to not cause any traffic hazard. 5. Pump Islands. Center line of pump island shall be no less than twenty-five (25) feet from a property line. 6. Driveways. No driveway at a property line shall be less than fifty (50) feet from th� intersection of two street right-of-way lines. 7. Signs. Each service station may have one (1) pedestal type sign not in excess of sixty-four (64) square feet nor more • than twenty-five (25) feet in height erected within the front yard, and no part of the sign sY�all be l�ss than siy (5) feet from a property line (horizontal distance). The pedestal shall not be greater than eighteen (18) inches in diameter and no part of the sign surface shall be less than sixteen (16) feet vertical distance from the grade of the nearest driveway or parking area. The pedestal shall not be less than five (5) feet fram a driveway. 53
