Hand�.ca�ped s ign:a at the Post Of f ice2. <br />The signs c�ere originally installed but taken down because <br />people were walkinc� into tY�em. The post office ha� agreed <br />to rei.nstall them. <br />2. Comfort Inn. <br />It eaas determined that what was there technically meets <br />code �ven t�hough it does not function as well as it <br />should. Representatives from Comfort Inn r�vfewed <br />alternatives �c� improve the situation but decided not to <br />go forward with the improvements because of the expense <br />and because they technically meet code now. T�ey ag�eed <br />to p�ovicie better signage on the entry wa�y and to direct <br />their employees to assist handicapped persons. The <br />Comfort Inn technically meets code therefor� the c�.ty has <br />no authority to r�quire t12em to make chang�s. As y�u may <br />remember, at the direction of the P�anning Commission, <br />staff change� the location of the Planning Commission <br />retrea� from the Comfart Inn ta �he Holiday Inn to protest <br />their lack of cooperation. <br />
