The standard cart approximate dimensions shall be: <br />36 -gallon cart 36" height x 18.5" wide x 23.5" deer <br />64 -gallon cart 39" height x 25" wide x 31" deep <br />96 -gallon cart 41" height x 30" wide x 36" deep <br />Cart surface shall be smooth for ease in cleaning. Carts shall be <br />consistent in colors and design with a recycling symbol that is at least <br />4" tall on two sides and approved lid, so as to be easily identified by <br />the resident/customer and the Contractor Driver as the container for <br />recyclable materials collection. The City shall approve the cart, color <br />and labeling prior to manufacture. <br />The Driver is required to record and report to Contractor Dispatch <br />the location of any cart that is damaged and that cart shall be repaired <br />or replaced by the Contractor or designated subcontractor within one <br />week of the report of damage. <br />Damaged or unusable carts must be recycled. All costs incurred in <br />recycling carts shall be the responsibility of the Contractor, at no <br />additional cost to the City. The Contractor will provide <br />documentation showing the City where the carts were recycled. <br />Multiple Family Dwellings (Option One Vendor -Owned Carts) <br />The Contractor or designated subcontractor shall purchase, own, <br />ship, assemble, deliver, store/inventory, maintain and distribute 96 - <br />gallon carts (and cardboard dumpsters where requested) for all <br />Multiple Family Dwellings as specified in definition 4.23 in <br />sufficient quantity to adequately contain the materials between <br />weekly collections, to be placed in recycling stations as specified in <br />definition 4.26. The Contractor or designated subcontractor will <br />maintain a sufficient new and replacement cart inventory for both the <br />initial cart rollout and ongoing cart replacements (e.g. new <br />customers, service changes, replacement of damaged carts, etc.) <br />during the term of the contract. Ongoing cart distribution shall be <br />done on a weekly basis. <br />Proposers must clearly specify their proposed single -sort cart <br />manufacturer. <br />Multiple Family Dwellings (Option Two City -Owned Carts) <br />The Contractor or designated subcontractor shall work with the City <br />to procure 96 -gallon carts for use in the single stream collection <br />program. The carts will become the property of the City of Roseville <br />at the end of the contract period for use in the next contract cycle. <br />15 <br />
