The Contractor or designated subcontractor will maintain a sufficient <br />new and replacement cart inventory that will be purchased by the <br />City. The contractor shall service and repair carts to meet supply and <br />demand needs for the entire term of the contract. <br />Proposers must clearly specify their proposed single -sort cart <br />manufacturer. <br />Thirty-two and ninety-six gallon carts of similar design shall be <br />provided to residents who request a different level of service. <br />Additional carts will be provided at no extra charge to residents who <br />request them. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for preparing a <br />comprehensive cart rollout plan and schedule for the initial cart <br />distribution. The Contractor will work with the City to create the <br />educational material for distribution to customers. This educational <br />material and its distribution may meet the annual mailing <br />requirements detailed in 6.05. <br />At a minimum, the plan must have the following items: <br />1. Single stream system instructional brochure for customers (which <br />must be approved by the City before printing). <br />2. Single stream system instructions (text and images) for the City's <br />website and newsletters. <br />3. Final cart, label and logo specifications (including details of cart <br />color, lid color, and draft content of any label instructions) to be <br />proposed by the Contractor and approved by the City. <br />4. Cart order quantity (including specified overage to have in stock as <br />excess inventory). <br />5. Contractor's plan for cart roll-out to customers, including start and <br />end dates. <br />Cart rollout shall be completed December 27, 2013. The Contractor <br />or designated subcontractor shall provide initial distribution of single <br />stream carts to customers, whether carts are owned by the City or the <br />Contractor. <br />5.05. Collection <br />Multiple Family Dwellings <br />Contractor will use containers as specified in 4.24. They shall be <br />located in multiple family dwelling recycling stations as specified in <br />4.26. <br />17 <br />
