Contractor shall empty all acceptable materials from inside the <br />containers and acceptable materials that may be set adjacent to the <br />containers. After emptying the containers, the Contractor shall return <br />the containers to their appropriate locations. <br />Multiple Family Dwellings shall receive service once a week unless a <br />difference service frequency is agreed to by the City and the <br />Contractor. The City does not regulate the day of the week Multiple <br />Family Dwellings shall receive service. Contractor shall inform the <br />City and each dwelling owner or manager the day and approximate <br />time the dwelling is scheduled to receive service and if there are to <br />be any changes in the schedule. <br />Curbside Single Stream <br />Recycling carts shall be placed at curbside on collection day, placing <br />cart with the handle toward the house and the lid opening toward <br />street. The Contractor shall collect from each participation household <br />all acceptable materials that have been prepared according publicized <br />procedures. The Driver is required to place the emptied cart back <br />down in the same curbside location as set by the resident. In no case <br />is the cart to be left in the street. <br />Residents may place oversized items such as flattened cardboard <br />boxes next to the bin. Residents may place additional material for <br />recycling in a container or paper grocery bags next to the bin. The <br />container shall be clearly labeled as material for recycling. The driver <br />shall place a tag on the cart with instructions on how the resident <br />may obtain a larger or second cart. <br />Free walk-up service as specified in 4.42 shall be provided for all <br />customers who request it. <br />The Contractor must conduct at least once per quarter, or as agreed <br />upon by the City and the Contractor, curbside recycling cart checks. <br />Areas for cart checks must rotate between each recycling zone. The <br />Contractor shall audit the contents of carts from at least 25 <br />households and leave education tags if any Non -Targeted Materials <br />are found in the bins. A log shall be kept of all resident addresses <br />where education tags were left and the addresses shall be included in <br />the annual report to the City. <br />Organics <br />Roseville has held four Zero Waste events each year at which <br />organic material was collected for composting: <br />• Living Smarter Home and Garden Fair, 3`d Saturday in <br />February <br />18 <br />
