Attachment D <br />City of Roseville Draft Tree Preservation Ordinance <br />Planning Commission Public Hearing <br />10-6-15 <br /> <br /> <br />J.Replacement Tree Specifications <br />Commented \[BGA21\]: <br />1 <br />Replacement tree requirements <br />largely mimic existing standards. <br />1. <br />The minimum size for Deciduous replacement trees shall be 3-inch caliper, with each <br />2 <br />caliper inch counting towards one (1) diameter breast height inch required for <br />3 <br />replacement. <br />4 <br />2. <br />The minimum height for Coniferous replacement trees shall be six (6) feet with credits for <br />5 <br />each replacement tree being based on the following <br />6 <br />a.Six (6) DBH replacement inches shall be credited for each coniferous replacement tree <br />7 <br />planted that is eight (8) feet or less in height; <br />8 <br />b.One (1) additional DBH replacement inch shall be credited for every four (4) foot <br />9 <br />increment in height increase over eight (8) feet as illustrated in the following table: <br />10 <br />Height RangeCredit against Required DBH Replacement Inches <br />> 8 feet6 inches <br />8 feet > 12 feet7 inches <br />12 feet > 16 feet8 inches <br />16 feet > 20 feet9 inches <br />20 feet > 24 feet10 inches <br />24 feet > 28 feet11 inches <br />11 <br />3. <br />Replacement trees shall be from balled and burlapped, certified nursery stock as defined <br />12 <br />and controlled by MN Stat. 18.44 through 18.61, the Plant Pest Act, as may be amended <br />13 <br />from time to time.
