Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />January 20, 2016 —Minutes <br />Page 9 of 9 <br />Commissioner Slade stated the Commission had discussed Second Chance Coalition. She asked <br />if the Commission was still interested in doing something with this group such as a speaker. The <br />group is trying to change the law so that those people who are on probation can register to vote. <br />Commissioner Christiansen suggested having a speaker from the Second Chance Coalition give a <br />short presentation at a future meeting. <br />Chair Groff added further discussion on this topic to a future agenda. Future agenda items also <br />include updates from Youth Commissioner Cederberg on the Summer Book Read and the film <br />screening event and updates on the Essay Contest and Naturalization Ceremony. <br />Adiournment <br />Commissioner Carev moved and Commissioner Christiansen seconded a motion to <br />adjourn.
