Attachment H <br /> <br />Land-Use Code Enforcement Program <br />2015 Year End Report <br />Background: <br />The Community Development Department is responsible for enforcement of most of the public nuisance <br />provisions of the City Code. <br />Land-use enforcement primarily addresses public nuisance violations reported to staff by the public, such <br />as: junk/debris, outside storage, long grass, junk vehicles, building maintenance, noise complaints, un- <br />shoveled public sidewalks, parking, etc. <br />Goals of the Program: <br />Greater public awareness and compliance with City Codes and Ordinances through education, cooperation <br />and enforcement. <br />Enhanced property values and enhanced livability of neighborhoods. <br />Minimize the negative effects of public nuisance violations upon surrounding neighborhoods. <br />. <br />Land Use Cases Each Year: <br />2005 380 Cases <br />2006 474 Cases <br />2007 425 Cases <br />2008 730 Cases <br />2009 736 Cases <br />2010 614 Cases <br />2011 546 Cases <br />2012 487 Cases <br />2013 376 Cases <br />2014 372 Cases + 137 Immediate Response Cases = 509 Total Cases <br />2015 288 Cases + 138 Immediate Response Cases = 426 Total Cases <br />2015 Public Nuisance Violations (Types of Violations): <br />5% - Snow <br />4% - Business Miscellaneous <br />18%- Vehicles <br />14%- Debris <br />22%- Outside Storage <br />8% - Property Maintenance <br />6% - Residential Miscellaneous <br />17%- Grass <br />6% - <br />Page 1 2015 Land Use Year End Report <br /> <br />
